MY STORY
My story begins in a small village in Alsace: Dieffenthal. Coming from a family of winegrowers, I love sports (basketball, running), history (I was passionate about the French Renaissance period and Leonardo da Vinci, my big fan!), and food! Because, yes, I am a foodie. In Alsace, culinary tradition and family meals are very important!
MY JOURNEY
After a scientific baccalaureate, I began studying business, which took me on internships abroad, in Germany and the United States. I speak German and English fluently. Back in Alsace, I began my career in luxury hospitality at the Crystal Hotel in Erstein, Alsace. I enjoy introducing visitors to Alsace.
After a few years of experience, I decided to launch my own private bike tour agency with a local guide. And, voila! Détour Alsace was born!
MY PASSIONS
I'm passionate about travel, wine, cooking, and sports. I'm a real curious person (it's normal, I'm a Gemini!). I've played basketball, run, and cycle. I think I was meant to be a bike tour organizer.
I also love cooking and wine. My passion for cooking comes from my mother, who was a great cook. I still remember the smell of cottage cheese tart in the kitchen—a delight! My favorite dish: oysters with an Alsace Riesling, sauerkraut, or a hamburger with Munster cheese and cumin—delicious!
My father cultivated vines. He taught me the taste and culture of vines. Since I was little, we've been harvesting grapes as a family. What wonderful memories!
So, that's my story and I look forward to sharing it with you on our bike rides!
Best regards, Cedric
